Shepherds Hut
This is the Shepherds Hut in Tynygongl, on Anglesey. It's on its own, separate from the main house, facing a small pond. There's no other hut nearby.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a proper glamping setup, so it's compact. The bed folds up against the wall to make a seating area during the day. There's a wood burner that keeps the place very warm.
The kitchen is in a converted pony box right next to the hut. It's got a full-size fridge, a microwave, a two-ring hob, and a decent sink. All the plates and pans are in there. The hut itself has the shower, toilet, and the bed.
The owners keep animals. There are ducks, chickens, and geese around the pond, and donkeys, sheep, and Shetland ponies in the field. They'll give you eggs from the chickens, with the chicken's name on each one. They also leave you some Welsh cakes, bara brith, and a bottle of prosecco. You can order fresh bread and scones too.
You can bring one dog. They need to be on a lead outside because of the free-roaming birds.
It's a rural spot. The nearest village with shops and pubs is Benllech, which is about a five-minute drive. It has a Blue Flag beach. Red Wharf Bay is also close by for food.
You're well placed for exploring the island. The coast path is on your doorstep. For a good walk, head to Newborough Forest and Llanddwyn Island. It's about a 25-minute drive. Things like the Sea Zoo or Pili Palas are within half an hour.
Facilities: there's parking right by the hut, an electric vehicle charger, WiFi, a TV, a BBQ, and your own garden area. Bedding and towels are included.
