Beech House is on our farm, a working croft about five miles outside Fort William. It's a big, modern house that looks right down the Great Glen towards Ben Nevis. The view is the main thing. You can see it from the big covered deck at the front, or from the hot tub.
It sleeps ten, in five bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is useful for a big group. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, not a quaint old cottage. The farm's been in the family a long time, so you'll see sheep and the canal boats going past.
We're two miles from the nearest shop and pub. Fort William is about five miles for bigger shops. You're right on the edge of everything here. The Caledonian Canal path is on the doorstep for easy walks. For something bigger, Glen Nevis is close, or you can drive to Glencoe in about half an hour.
If you're into active stuff, it's all nearby. Walking, cycling, climbing. The Nevis Range ski centre is there for the gondola up the mountain, winter or summer. The road out to Mallaig and the ferry to the Isles starts just a couple of miles away.
For facilities: it's got a wood burner, a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair and a cot. The garden is enclosed, and there's a kid's play area. We accept up to two dogs.
There are two other holiday lodges nearby on the croft, Birch Lodge and Hawthorn Lodge, if you needed to book for more people together.
