Torfern

Torfern is in Corpach, near Fort William. It's a four bedroom house, sleeps eight. It's one half of a semi-detached building. We live next door but we're hardly ever there, so you'll have the place to yourselves.

It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It’s not a hotel, but it's got everything you'd need. There are three bathrooms. We decorate it for Christmas if you're staying over the holidays.

The house has good views over Loch Linnhe and the Caledonian Canal. You can see Fort William and the mountains from the windows.

There's a shop and a pub about 200 yards down the road. For a bigger shop, Fort William is five minutes away by car.

The location is why you'd come. It's for people who want to be outside. Ben Nevis is there if you want to climb it. You can walk from the door. There's mountain biking, and the Nevis Range gondola is close by if you want to go up the mountain without the hike. Fort William calls itself the Outdoor Capital of the UK.

Within a half hour drive you can catch the steam train from Fort William to Mallaig. It goes over the Glenfinnan Viaduct. You can also get to Glenfinnan itself to see the monument. Boat trips to places like Mull leave from Oban, which is about 40 minutes south.

The house has parking, a washing machine, wi-fi, and an enclosed garden. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. The house is listed as having wheelchair accessible entrance, but please ask if you have specific needs so we can confirm it will work for you. You can bring up to two dogs.
