Carinish Beag

Carinish Beag is in Achaphubuil, which is right by the side of Loch Linnhe. It's a semi-detached cottage, attached to our house. We're next door if you need anything, but the place and the garden are all yours. You get a good view of the loch from the front, looking across towards Corpach.

The cottage is for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's on the ground floor and it's wheelchair friendly, with a step-free entrance and enough room to get around inside. The shower is a walk-in one.

It's quiet here. You can walk down to the lochside. Fort William is about four miles away for shops and the train station. If you're driving, Glenfinnan is about twelve miles. The road out there is the start of the Road to the Isles.

You're well placed for the ferry ports. Mallaig is under an hour's drive for boats to Skye and the small isles. The Corran ferry is close by too, which is the shortcut over to Ardnamurchan for places like Sanna Bay. For a proper sandy beach, the silver sands of Morar are about forty minutes away.

If you're here for walking or cycling, you can start from the door. There are forest trails all around. The Ben Nevis range and Glencoe are a short drive. Oban is about an hour and a half if you fancy a day trip.

Inside, it's got what you need: a washing machine, TV with satellite, wifi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
