Carinish Beag

Carinish Beag is in Achaphubuil, on the shore of Loch Linnhe. It's a semi-detached cottage, attached to our house, but you've got your own front door and space.

It's a one-bedroom place for two people. It’s got a 4-star rating. It's comfortable and modern, with level access and a wet room, so it works well for wheelchairs or anyone who finds steps difficult. The kitchen has what you need. There’s a washing machine, TV, WiFi, and parking right outside.

The main thing is the view. You look straight out over the loch towards Corpach. It’s quiet, and you can hear the water.

Fort William is about ten minutes’ drive away for shops, places to eat, or the station for the Jacobite steam train. The famous Glenfinnan monument is about twelve miles up the road.

If you want to get out on the water, you can catch ferries to the islands from Mallaig or Corran, which are both within half an hour. The beaches at Morar are about a forty-minute drive and they’re white sand. For walking or mountains, you’re right between Glencoe and Ben Nevis.

It’s a good spot for just sitting and watching the loch, or for using as a base to go and explore. Everything is included, bedding and towels too. Sorry, no pets.
