This is Cushendall House. It's a bungalow near Fort William, right next to the Caledonian Canal. It's on a bit of a slope, so the views are really good. You look straight out over the Grampian mountains, Ben Nevis is in there.
It's a detached house, so no neighbours through the walls. Sleeps six in three bedrooms. They all have king-size beds, which is unusual. The main bedroom has its own shower room and a couple of chairs to sit and look at the view. There's a second bathroom as well.
Inside, it's all on one level. The layout is quite open, with the living room, dining area and kitchen all leading off a big hallway. Everything is set up so you can see the mountains from most rooms. The furniture is modern and comfortable. It's got a five star rating, so it's well-finished and clean.
Outside there's a garden, mostly lawn, and your own parking.
It's very accessible if that's a concern. Wide doors, no steps, everything on the ground floor.
Location wise, you're about three miles from Fort William. It's got shops and places to eat. For walking or mountain biking, you're right on the doorstep of the Highlands. You can drive to Glenfinnan viaduct, the Harry Potter one, in about half an hour. The road to Mallaig is that way if you want to get a ferry to the small isles.
If you fancied Loch Ness, Fort Augustus is maybe 45 minutes drive. You can get boat trips from there. The ski resort at Aonach Mor is just outside Fort William, for the cable car or winter sports.
It's a long drive for a day trip, but you could get to the Skye Bridge in under two hours if you wanted.
Facilities: it has WiFi, a TV, dishwasher, washing machine. All bedding and towels are included. There's on-site parking. No pets, I'm afraid.
