Cushendall House is a bungalow at Tomacharich, near Fort William. It's detached, so it's just you and the place. It sits high up beside the Caledonian Canal, so you look out over the canal and the Grampian mountains. Ben Nevis is in that view.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. They all have kingsize beds. There are two bathrooms, one is an en-suite shower room in the master bedroom. That bedroom has a couple of chairs by the window because of the view.
The living room is big and the kitchen has a table. The whole place is on one level, so it's good for wheelchair access or if you don't want stairs. The doors are wide enough, and there's parking right there.
You've got a private garden and patio. Inside, there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and the bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
Fort William is about three miles away. That's where you'll find most of the shops and places to eat. It calls itself the outdoor capital, so if you're into walking or mountain biking, that's your start point. You can get the cable car up Aonach Mor from there. In the winter, that turns into a ski area.
You're on the Caledonian Canal path for walks straight from the door. For a day out, you can drive to Glenfinnan to see the viaduct. Fort Augustus, where you can get boat trips on Loch Ness and watch the locks on the canal, is about half an hour away. The Glenfinnan Viaduct site has visitor information. The road to the Isle of Skye is about an hour's drive if you fancy crossing the bridge.
