Woodend
Woodend is a detached stone cottage on the road out of Fort William towards Ben Nevis. It's not in the town centre, but it's only about a ten minute walk to the shops and pubs. The garden is yours, and it's quiet.
The cottage sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It has a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but not a show home. The walls are thick stone.
You're right on the edge of things here. You can walk along the Nevis river from the door. Fort William is at the end of the West Highland Way, so you see a lot of walkers. It's a good base if you're planning to climb Ben Nevis. The mountain bike trails at Nevis Range are about ten minutes drive away.
You can get the Jacobite steam train from Fort William to Mallaig. It goes over the Glenfinnan viaduct. Loch Linnhe is right there for boat trips. If you want to go further, Glencoe is about half an hour's drive south.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking for one car on the gravel drive. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. The local pub is about half a mile away.
