Woodend is a stone cottage on the way up to Ben Nevis. It's detached, which is nice. You're in your own space, but it's only about a ten minute walk into Fort William if you want the shops or a pub.
It sleeps four, two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and warm, but it's not a show home. There's a wood burning stove for the evenings. Parking is right there.
The back garden is enclosed, which is handy. You can let the dogs out. We take up to two pets. The garden looks onto trees.
You can walk down to the river Nevis from the house. It's a quiet path. Fort William is at the end of the West Highland Way, so you see a lot of walkers about. The town has what you need: supermarkets, places to eat, an outdoor shop.
For a big day out, you're in the right spot. You can be at the foot of Ben Nevis in a few minutes by car. The Jacobite steam train goes from here over the Glenfinnan Viaduct. You can get boat trips on Loch Linnhe from the town pier. If you want to drive, Ardnamurchan Point is the most westerly bit of the mainland.
It's got a washing machine, Wifi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included.
