Dairy Cottage
Dairy Cottage is in Torlundy, just north of Fort William. It's a two bedroom place that sleeps four. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up nicely inside. It's warm and dry.
The setting is quiet. You're in a little hamlet next to some woods and the River Lundy. You get a patio and garden area to yourselves. It looks out onto trees. You will see squirrels.
You're right on the edge of Leanachan Forest. You can walk straight out the door and into the trees. The Nevis Range ski centre is practically next door. In summer, that's where the mountain biking is, including the World Championship course. Less than ten minutes by car.
Fort William is about four miles south. That's where the main shops are. The town is handy for supplies. The steam train to Mallaig, the Jacobite, leaves from there. It's a famous trip.
You're well placed for getting around. The Caledonian Canal and Loch Linnhe are a short drive. Ben Nevis is behind you. Glen Coe is about half an hour's drive south. You can be in Glenfinnan, on the road to the Isles, in maybe 40 minutes.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove for cooler nights. All the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside. The electricity is included in the price. No pets, sorry.
