The fire is a wood burning stove. It works well. The garden is mostly patio, with some shrubs around it. It catches the sun.
The cottage is just off the A82. You can hear some traffic when you’re outside, but inside with the windows shut it’s very quiet.
You’re right next to Leanachan Forest for walking or mountain biking. The Nevis Range gondola is about a five minute drive for the downhill bike track or skiing in winter. Fort William is about four miles away for shops and places to eat.
The Jacobite steam train to Mallaig leaves from nearby Glenfinnan. Ben Nevis is close for walking. Spean Bridge and the Commando Memorial are a short drive north.
For facilities, you’ve got what you’d expect: the wood burner, parking right outside, WiFi, a washing machine, and bedding and towels are provided.
