Fyvie Cottage
Fyvie Cottage is a single-storey house in Lochyside. It's on its own, so no neighbours attached. The views are the main thing. You look straight out at Ben Nevis and the Aonach Mor ski slopes. No trees or other houses in the way.
It sleeps four, but it's got one proper bedroom with a kingsize bed. The other two sleep on a double sofa bed in the living room. One bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and has everything you need. Being all on one level is useful.
Outside, there's a patio and a bit of raised decking with a table and chairs. You sit out there with a drink and just look at the mountain.
The local pub that does food is about a mile away. A shop is two miles, in Corpach.
You're right in the middle of walking and climbing country. Ben Nevis is there if you're up for it. The easier path is the Tourist Route. Glencoe is about a 30 minute drive away. The drive through the glen itself is worth doing. For something different, the Jacobite steam train runs from Fort William to Mallaig in the summer. It goes over the Glenfinnan Viaduct.
In terms of what's here: WiFi, TV, washing machine, parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if needed. There's a barbecue and a place to store bikes.
