Burnside Lodge

Burnside Lodge is in Torlundy, just outside Fort William. It's a single storey lodge, so all on one level. We're next door, but you've got your own space and a private patio with a view of the river and the mountains.

It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. Everything you'd need is there.

The place is open plan, with a wood burning stove. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, and WiFi. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have kids. Parking is right outside.

You're about a mile from a local pub. Fort William is a couple of miles away for shops and restaurants.

As for things to do, you're right in the middle of it. Ben Nevis is on your doorstep for walking or climbing. Mountain biking trails start practically from the gate. You can be on the water kayaking very quickly. In winter, you're about twenty minutes from the Nevis Range ski centre.

The West Highland Line train goes from Fort William to Mallaig. It's a famous journey. Glenfinnan Viaduct is about half an hour's drive. So are places like Glencoe and the beaches around Arisaig.
