Burnside Lodge

Burnside Lodge is in Torlundy, which is just outside Fort William. We live next door, but you have your own garden and decking overlooking the river.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a 5 Star rating, so everything's fairly new and well looked after. It's got an open plan living area with a woodburning stove. We leave logs for you.

The garden's enclosed, so you could bring kids. There's a cot and highchair here if you need them. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher, and all the bedding and towels are included. Parking right outside.

You have a clear view of the river from the living area. Sometimes you see deer on the opposite bank.

The place is handy for Ben Nevis and the Nevis Range. You can be at the gondola in about ten minutes. In winter, that's the skiing. In summer, it's good for walking and mountain biking.

Fort William's a couple of miles down the road for shops and places to eat. There's a local pub about a mile away. The West Highland Line train station is in Fort William too, if you wanted to do the steam train to Mallaig.

You're within half an hour of Glencoe, and places like Glenfinnan. You can get to the coast at places like Arisaig in about forty-five minutes.
