Cruachan Log Cabin
Cruachan Log Cabin is in Banavie, on the edge of Fort William. It's a log cabin, we live next door. It looks out towards Ben Nevis and Loch Linnhe.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and comfortable but not a show home. It's warm, the logs help with that.
Everything is on one level, which is handy. The shower is over the bath. Parking is right outside.
There's a shop and a pub about half a mile away. Fort William is a five minute drive if you need supermarkets or more places to eat.
The location is the main thing. You're right by the Caledonian Canal and the Neptune's Staircase locks. You can walk to them. The Great Glen Way passes close by if you like long distance walks.
For a day out, you've got Glenfinnan and the viaduct about half an hour west. The road out to Arisaig and the silver sands is beautiful, but it takes a bit longer than thirty minutes if the traffic is slow.
Inside, there's a TV, WiFi, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. No pets, sorry.
