Stob-Ban View is just over a mile outside Fort William, on the Glen Nevis road. It's a detached, single-storey timber lodge. The main thing is the view, it's straight out over the glen to the mountains. There's a big window on the gable end and a deck outside to sit on.
It's for two people. One bedroom up on a mezzanine platform, so you look out over the living area to the view. One bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, very modern inside.
You're on the same grounds as the main house, but you've got your own garden and deck. It's private.
A shop and a pub are about a quarter of a mile down the road. The footpath up Ben Nevis starts about half a mile from here. For mountain biking, the trails at Nevis Range are very close. The West Highland Line train runs through Glenfinnan, which is about 20 minutes drive away. You can drive to Mallaig in just under an hour, past the Silver Sands.
For facilities: there's parking right outside, a washing machine, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included. No pets. The owner can sometimes arrange deer stalking if you're interested, you'd need to ask well in advance.
