This is Dalcomera. It's a detached house in Gairlochy, a small hamlet about ten miles north of Fort William.
The house sleeps six, in three bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. There's also a fourth, separate shower room downstairs. The rating is 4 Star.
It looks out over fields towards Ben Nevis. The River Lochy and the Caledonian Canal are both a short walk away. The house is not suitable for children under five because of the layout.
Inside, it's open plan downstairs, with the kitchen and dining area, plus a separate living room with an electric stove. Upstairs, the bedrooms are all en-suite and each has a TV. There's good WiFi.
Outside, there's a big enclosed garden with a barbecue and seating. There's also a large utility room for storing bikes or kayaks, and plenty of parking.
For local amenities, Spean Bridge is three miles away. It has a small shop, a post office, a few places to eat, and a railway station. A restaurant is about two miles walk away, near the Commando Memorial.
You're well placed for getting out. The Great Glen Way walking and cycling route is on the doorstep. For skiing or downhill mountain biking, the Nevis Range at Aonach Mor is about a 20-minute drive. Fort William, which has more shops and supermarkets, is about 25 minutes by car.
If you want to explore further, you can drive to Glenfinnan for the Jacobite steam train, or out to the Ardnamurchan Peninsula. Inverness, Skye, and the North Coast 500 route are all within a couple of hours.
Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, bedding and towels. The garden is enclosed. There is bicycle storage. No pets, sorry.
