The Smithy
The Smithy is in Langdale End, in Troutsdale valley. It's part of the North York Moors, so it's very quiet out here. You're right across the lane from the farmhouse.
It's a 4 Star place, sleeps three. All on one level, which is handy. Two bedrooms. One has a king-size bed, the other a single. There's a shower room. The main room has french doors that open onto a raised patio. The view from there is good, over the valley. The kitchen's up two steps from the living area.
The walls are original stone in parts, with beams. It's got character, but it's not fussy. It's warm and does the job.
You can bring two dogs. There's parking. It has wifi, a TV, a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included.
There's practically no street lights, so the stars are very clear on a good night.
For walking, you're in the middle of it. Forge Valley is nearby. The coast is about half an hour's drive. Scarborough one way, Filey the other. Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay are a bit further, maybe forty minutes. Snainton village is closer for basics.
