Kiloran is a bungalow on the hillside above Oban. It's detached. The view really is the main thing. You look out over the sound to the islands: Kerrera, Lismore, Mull. You get that view from the main rooms. Big windows.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms. Two bathrooms, one is an en-suite. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. Everything's on one level, which is handy.
You're a five minute drive, or a 20 minute walk, down into Oban town centre. It's good for the basics: shops, pubs, restaurants. The town's known for seafood. You can get boat trips from the pier to Mull, Iona, and other islands. The National Trust for Scotland has information on local walks and sites. Walkhighlands is good for detailed routes.
The garden is patio style, with furniture. You can sit out there with the view. Parking is right there.
Inside, it's open plan living, dining, and kitchen. Patio doors open to the garden. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi and TV. We allow one well-behaved dog.
For things to do: Oban Distillery is in town if you like whisky. McCaig's Tower is up the hill. Good beaches, like Ganavan Sands, are about a 10 minute drive. You can drive to the ferry for Mull in about 40 minutes. Glencoe and Fort William are under an hour north if you fancy a day trip to the mountains.
