Puffin - Kerrera
This is Puffin at Kerrera. Kerrera is the name of the property, not the island. It can be a bit confusing. The house is on the mainland, in a quiet spot about two miles outside Oban.
It sleeps five in three bedrooms. There's one shower room. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and comfortable. The living area is open plan and has doors out to a private deck. You get a good view from there, over the boatyard and out to the Firth of Lorn and the island of Kerrera itself.
You're opposite the Puffin Dive Centre if you're into that sort of thing. They do stand-up paddleboarding and diving. There's sea fishing really close by too. The ferry to the actual island of Kerrera leaves from just down the road, about a five minute walk. It's cheap and goes every hour. The island has a cafe, Gylen Castle, and some excellent walks.
Oban is two miles away for shops, pubs, and the main ferry terminal. From there you can get ferries to Mull for a day out. You can drive to beaches, the nearest is about four miles.
The facilities are what you'd expect: TV, WiFi, parking, a BBQ. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's good cycle storage if you're bringing bikes.
