Kilbowie Retreat
Kilbowie Retreat is an apartment on the lower ground floor of Kilbowie House, which is a big Victorian place from the 1880s. It's about a mile and a half outside Oban, right by the water.
It sleeps four, two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well kitted out. You can bring one dog.
The main thing is the view. You look straight out over the Sound of Kerrera. It's a proper water view. There's a small private garden area at the front where you can sit and look at it.
You get in through the main house entrance, which has old wooden panelling, and then take the lift down. Or you can come in through the back garden into the kitchen.
Inside, it's bright and spacious. The living area is open plan with those water views. The bathroom has both a bath and a double shower. Each bedroom has a door out to a little courtyard area.
Oban is close for shops, cafes, and ferries. You're right on the edge of the countryside for walks or mountain biking. You can ride the West Highland Line train to Glasgow from Oban if you fancy a day in the city.
It has parking, a washing machine, WiFi, and bedding is included. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
