Kilbowie Retreat
Kilbowie Retreat is a lower ground floor apartment in Oban. It's part of a big old Victorian house called Kilbowie House, built in 1888. The house is right by the water, looking out over the Sound of Kerrera.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. One double bedroom, one twin. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is bright and the rooms are a good size. The bathroom has both a bath and a double shower.
It's on the lower ground floor. You have your own bit of garden out the front that goes right down to the water. The views from there are very good, straight across to the hills. You can get into the apartment two ways. There's an original lift in the main hall that takes you down, or you can go in through the kitchen door from the garden at the back.
Oban town centre is about a mile and a half away. It's a proper west coast town. Plenty of places to eat. Good for boat trips if you want to see the islands.
You're well placed for getting around. Glencoe and Fort William are within an hour's drive. It's a good base for walking or just driving and looking at the scenery. The house grounds are about half an acre, so there's space.
Facilities: WiFi, washing machine, bedding and towels are included. There's parking. The entrance and the lift mean it's suitable for wheelchair access. One well-behaved pet is welcome.
