Bay View Apartment
Bay View Apartment is on the second floor of a building on Oban's main street. It looks out over the harbour. You get a good view of the bay from the living room window and the main bedroom.
It's a four star place, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms: one with a kingsize bed and one small single room. There's also a sofa bed in the living room, which is fine for kids. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over it.
It's up a couple of flights of stairs, so you need to be okay with that. The heating is electric and works fine. Everything you'd expect is there: wifi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
You're right in the middle of town. The shop doors, pubs, and the ferry terminal are all a few minutes' walk away. There's a kayaking place almost next door that goes straight out into the bay. For a swim, Ganavan Sands is a couple of miles up the coast.
Oban's the main ferry port for the islands. You can get boats to Mull, Iona, and others easily. There are castles nearby like Dunollie and Dunstaffnage. If you drive for about an hour, you can get to Glencoe, Fort William, or Inveraray.
