This place is Seaview. It's an apartment right in the middle of Oban, on the first floor. You look straight out across the water to the island of Kerrera. The view is the main thing.
It sleeps six but there are only two bedrooms. One is a double, the other has bunk beds. So it really suits a family or a small group of friends who don't mind sharing. There's one bathroom with a shower, no bath. It's got a 3 Star rating. Everything works, it's clean and tidy, but it's not luxurious.
You're right in town. The front door is on the street. There's a shop, a pub, and plenty of places to eat all within a minute's walk. You can hear the town from the apartment, especially in summer. It's not remote or quiet, but you don't have to drive anywhere.
The living room and the main bedroom both have that sea view. There's a small patio area outside the front door with a couple of chairs.
You can walk down to the harbour in two minutes. The ferry terminal for the islands is right there. You can get boats to Mull, Iona, and others. For a beach, Ganavan Sands is about two miles away, a short drive.
You can drive to Glencoe or Fort William in under an hour. Inveraray is about 45 minutes. If you want to see more of the coast or go walking, the National Trust for Scotland has places nearby and the Forestry and Land Scotland site lists a lot of trails.
For facilities: it has a washing machine, WiFi, a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets allowed. Parking is on the street, you'd need a permit which we provide.
