Finlaggan Apartment is in Oban, on the second floor of a building. It's a flat, not a house. You park right outside the building.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's been done up nicely. It was refurbished a few years ago, so everything feels fairly fresh. It's quiet where it is, but you can walk into the town centre in a few minutes.
The living room window has a view over Oban Bay. You can see the water and the boats coming and going. McCaig's Tower is just up the hill, about a three minute walk.
There's a shop about 300 yards away, and a pub and restaurant about 400 yards. The town has everything you need. The Oban whisky distillery is there if you want a tour.
Being in Oban, you're right where the ferries go out to the islands. You can easily get a day trip over to Mull or Iona and be back for dinner. For fishing, there's sea trips from the harbour or permits for the local lochs like Loch Etive.
If you want to explore by car, Kilmartin Glen to the south is full of ancient sites. To the north, the Cruachan power station inside the mountain is a unique visit. The whole area is good for walking, cycling on forestry tracks, or wildlife spotting. You might see seals or eagles.
The flat has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's also a space to store bicycles.
