This is Finlaggan Apartment. It's in Oban, on the second floor of a building. You're up a few flights of stairs, but it's a quiet spot. You can see a bit of the bay from the windows.
It sleeps four, two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. We had it all refurbished a few years back, so it's clean and things work. It's comfortable, not huge, but fine for a family or two couples.
You're really close to the town centre, a few minutes' walk. There's a shop about 300 yards away, and a pub and restaurant not much further. Everything you need is on your doorstep.
From here, you can get the ferries out to Mull and Iona for the day. The distillery in town is worth a visit if you like that sort of thing. For walks, you can head straight up to McCaig's Tower, which is practically next door. The coast is all around you.
If you drive, you can get to a lot. Kilmartin Glen is about half an hour south. It's full of ancient standing stones and burial sites. To the north, the Cruachan power station inside the mountain is about a 40 minute drive. It's a unique day out.
For facilities, you've got the basics: a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is on site. No pets, I'm afraid.
