Ebford Court is our place in Ebford. It's a thatched, Grade II listed Devon longhouse. It's about 400 years old. We live here most of the time, but we let it out for holidays. It's on an acre of garden, which is all yours while you're here.
It sleeps eight. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and has the things you need, but it's an old house, so the floors aren't level and the doorways are low in parts. Just mind your head. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings.
We take up to three dogs. The garden is fenced, but it's not completely escape-proof for a real Houdini of a dog, so you'd need to keep an eye. There are good walks straight from the door along the river.
You're about six miles from Exeter. It's a straightforward drive in for shops, the cathedral, or the restaurants at the Quayside. The beach at Exmouth is about four miles. Dawlish Warren is a bit further, maybe twenty minutes by car.
For a walk, the Exe Estuary is close by. It's good for birdwatching. Dartmoor is about a forty minute drive if you want proper moorland.
In terms of what's here: there's parking for a few cars, a washing machine, WiFi, a TV, bedding and towels are provided, and there's a BBQ. There's also an electric heater in the outdoor pool house if you fancy a swim, but it's not heated like a proper indoor pool. It's more of a dip.
