No 11 - Martingale
No 11, Martingale, is a converted barn on the Tedsmore Hall Estate. It’s in West Felton, Shropshire. The setting is very rural. You're in the middle of fields, with views out over the estate grounds.
It sleeps six, in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one is an en-suite. The rating is 5 Star, so it's well-finished and comfortable. It has underfloor heating, which is nice in winter.
The kitchen has what you need. The living room is a good size, with a TV. There's also a smaller snug area if someone wants a bit of quiet. Outside, you have your own enclosed garden with a table and chairs. The main courtyard with the fountains is shared, but it's a large, elegant space.
For local walks, you can just step out onto the estate paths. For a proper day out, Oswestry is the nearest town, about ten minutes by car. Shrewsbury is roughly half an hour's drive. It has the theatre by the river, the Quarry Park, and an independent cinema in the old market hall.
If you're interested in history, there's Powis Castle (National Trust) about 25 minutes away, and Old Oswestry Hill Fort is even closer. For families, Hoo Zoo and Dinosaur World is nearby.
Facilities are all included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and parking. It’s wheelchair accessible on the ground floor. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, sorry.
