Canal Central
This is Canal Central. It's in Maesbury Marsh, right by the Montgomery Canal. The main bit of the cottage is upstairs, so you get a view over the water.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and has what you need. Be aware, the stairs up to it are a bit steep and narrow. They're open tread too. Just take your time.
You can walk straight out onto the canal towpath. There's a tea room on the site, and a pub that does food is about a quarter of a mile away. They do horse-drawn narrowboat trips from here, and you can hire canoes.
Oswestry is two miles off for shops. For a day out, Shrewsbury is about half an hour's drive. It's good for walking around, with the river and some decent places to eat. Chester is in the other direction, also about thirty minutes.
If you like National Trust properties, there are a few within reach. Powis Castle, Chirk Castle, Erddig, and Attingham Park are all roughly a thirty minute drive.
It's got parking, which is handy. There's WiFi, a TV, and all the bedding and towels are included. Sorry, no pets.
