Hares Hollow is one of a group of barn conversions here just outside Llanymynech. It's on the Shropshire border, so you're looking into Wales from the garden. Sleeps eight, four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-finished and comfortable.
Each barn has its own private hot tub on the patio. The garden is enclosed. There's parking right outside.
The barn itself is roomy. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. Facilities are what you'd expect: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, all included. Bedding and towels are provided. We can provide a cot and a highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
Location wise, it's quiet and rural. The Offa's Dyke Path runs nearby if you want to walk. The market towns of Oswestry and Welshpool are about 15 minutes' drive. You've got a good selection of shops and places to eat there.
For a day out, Shrewsbury is half an hour away. It's a proper medieval town on the River Severn. Chester, with its Roman walls and cathedral, is also about 30 minutes. Llangollen is 20 minutes drive; they have a steam railway and you can go white water rafting on the river.
There are quite a few National Trust places within easy reach if that's your sort of thing. For wider planning, National Trust Wales & Shropshire and Offa's Dyke Association sites are useful.
