Crabapple Cottage is our place in Treflach. It's a converted barn, sat on our land but separate from the house. It looks out across the Tanat Valley. The main patio faces south, so it gets the sun.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, not huge. It's a barn, so the ceilings are high in the living area. That keeps it cool in summer, but the wood burner sorts it out in winter.
You're right on the edge of things here. The village is about half a mile away. The nearest proper shop is in Oswestry, about two miles. There's a pub and restaurant a mile down the lane. Offa's Dyke Path is about the same distance if you want to walk straight from the door.
You can see a lot from here in 30 minutes or so. Chirk Castle and Erddig are close. Llanrhaeadr waterfall is over the border in Wales, maybe a 20 minute drive. Lake Vyrnwy is good for walking. Further into Wales you've got Bala Lake for the water sports, and the road up towards Snowdon starts about an hour away.
The place has what you'd need: parking right outside, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs. There's a cot and high chair here if you're bringing little ones.
