Rhydleos Mill
This is Rhydleos Mill in Llansilin. It's an old watermill that's been turned into a holiday place. It's detached and sits on its own, next to the stream that used to power it. The original farmhouse is just over the lane.
It sleeps six people. There are five bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The whole place feels solid and quiet.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's a woodburning stove, which is good for cooler evenings. It's got a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's Wi-Fi, parking, and a BBQ outside. Bedding and towels are included.
The location is very quiet. It's good for birdwatching and just listening to the water. The nearest pub serving food is about a mile and a half away. The closest shop is in Oswestry, about six miles.
If you want to get out, Llanrhaeadr Waterfall is about fifteen minutes by car. It's a good walk. Powis Castle and Gardens is around half an hour's drive. The town of Llangollen is also within half an hour, for the canal or the steam railway.
For a longer day out, you can be in Chester in under an hour. It's a straightforward drive.
