Yr Hen Feudy At Pentre Farm
Yr Hen Feudy is near Llansilin, on the border here. It's a new place, built to look like an old barn. Detached, at the end of a gated lane. Very quiet.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, and each one has its own bathroom. That's useful. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well finished and has everything you'd need. Underfloor heating throughout.
The main living space is open plan. The kitchen's big and has all the appliances. The dining area has these full-height windows looking out over the fields and the hill, the Gyrn. The view is the main thing. Patio doors go out to the garden. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings.
One bedroom with twin beds is on the ground floor. The other two are upstairs: a king size and a double. All en-suite. Parking for a few cars. There's an electric vehicle charger.
There's a pub in the village, about a half hour walk. They do food. The village has a children's play area too.
For things to do, you're well placed. You can walk or cycle straight from the door. Pistyll Rhaeadr, that big waterfall, is about 20 minutes by car. A few castles are within easy reach: Powis Castle, Chirk Castle, and Erddig. Llangollen is close, for the canal or the river.
If you want to go further, Chester and Shrewsbury are both less than an hour's drive. The Visit Wales site has more ideas.
Facilities are all there: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, cot, highchair. Bedding and towels are included. There's a barbecue and garden furniture. No pets.
