The Snug is a one bedroom hut on our farm in Pentre Cefn, near Llansilin. It's for two people. It's detached, so you're on your own out there.
It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's clean and it works. It's a hut, so the space is clever but compact. The bed's by a big window so you get the view when you wake up. There's a wood burner, and we provide logs for it. The kitchenette has what you need for simple meals. The bathroom is in a separate room at the end, with a toilet, sink and shower.
You're on a working farm, so there are animals around. You can walk around the fields here. The view looks out towards Snowdonia, if the weather's clear.
Oswestry is the nearest proper town, about ten minutes by car. It's got shops and supermarkets. Llangollen is about twenty minutes away. It's on the River Dee and is part of a UNESCO World Heritage site. They've got the canal and steam railways there.
For a good day out, the waterfalls at Pistyll Rhaeadr are about fifteen minutes drive. It's one of the 'Seven Wonders of Wales'. Chirk Castle and Erddig are both within half an hour. Chester is about forty-five minutes if you fancy the city.
The facilities are what you'd expect: TV, parking right outside, bedding and towels are included. It's alright to bring one well-behaved dog. There are a couple of other similar huts nearby, so we can sometimes book them together for larger groups.
