The Snug
The Snug is on our farm in Llansilin, near Oswestry. It's a wooden hut on a hill. You can see the Berwyn mountains from here. On a clear day, you can see Snowdonia in the distance.
It's for two people. One room with a double bed, a small kitchen area, and a separate shower room at the end. There's a wood burner. I'll leave you some logs.
It's detached and you have your own parking spot next to it. The field around it is yours to use. You'll see sheep. You can bring one dog, but please keep it on a lead around the livestock.
The village is quiet. There's a shop and a pub in Llansilin. Oswestry is about ten minutes by car for supermarkets and a few more places to eat.
Llangollen is about twenty minutes away. That's where the canal is, and the steam railway. The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is there too. Chirk Castle is a fifteen minute drive. Chester is just under an hour if you fancy a day out.
For a good walk, the Llanrhaedr waterfall is close. It's about fifteen minutes in the car.
Everything's included: bedding, towels, electricity. There's a TV. The Wi-Fi is OK but it's the countryside, so it's not super fast. The rating is 4 Star. It means it's comfortable and well-kept.
If you're coming with friends, there's another hut a few fields over. You can book both.
