The Pigsty Cottage is in Nantmawr, which is a hamlet just outside Oswestry. It's detached, so it's on its own. It used to be a pigsty, obviously. We've done it up to be comfortable for two people.
It's a 4 Star place, which means it's got everything you need and it's in good order. One bedroom, one bathroom. The shower is good and hot. It's all open plan downstairs. The garden is enclosed, so it's safe for dogs. You can bring two.
There's a local pub in the village, about a five minute walk. It's a proper local. They do food. Oswestry is two miles away for bigger shops and more places to eat. It's a standard market town.
For walking, you're right on the edge of the Shropshire Hills. There are plenty of paths straight from the door. The Shropshire Hills AONB site is good for maps. If you drive, Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall is about half an hour away, maybe a bit more. It's impressive. The Erddig estate near Wrexham is also about half an hour. That's National Trust.
Inside, there's a washing machine, WiFi, and parking for one car right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a stairgate if you need them. We do it up for Christmas if you're booking then.
