Mouse Croft
Mouse Croft is in Llanymynech, right on the border with Wales. It's one of a few barn conversions here. It has its own enclosed garden and a private hot tub.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms with one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means everything is new and well finished. All on one level, so no stairs to worry about.
The barn is open plan, with a wood burning stove. There's a TV, wifi, a dishwasher, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. We've also got a cot and highchair if you need them.
Llanymynech itself is a small village. There's a shop and a couple of pubs within walking distance. Oswestry and Welshpool are about 15 minutes drive for more shops and cafes.
You're really well placed here for getting out. Offa's Dyke Path runs close by for walks. The National Trust Llanymynech site is just up the road. Shrewsbury is half an hour away, it's a proper medieval town on the River Severn. Chester, with its walls and Roman history, is also about 30 minutes.
Into Wales, Llangollen is 20 minutes. You've got the steam railway there, and the canal. For a bigger day out, the Snowdonia National Park is about an hour and a quarter's drive.
