Mouse Croft is part of a set of converted barns, just outside Llanymynech. It’s in Shropshire, but you’re basically on the border with Wales here. The A483 runs past about a mile away, so it’s easy to get to.
It’s a two-bedroom place, so sleeps four. One bathroom. There’s a wood burner in the living area. It’s open plan downstairs, which keeps it light. The garden is enclosed and there’s parking right outside.
You have your own hot tub on the patio. That’s the main thing, really. It’s a luxury 5 Star rating, which means it’s well finished and everything’s included – bedding, towels, Wi-Fi, electricity. There’s a dishwasher and a washing machine.
You can bring one dog. There’s a stairgate and a highchair if you need them.
Location-wise, it’s good for a bit of everything. The Offa’s Dyke Path practically goes past the door. The Llanymynech golf course is a few minutes’ drive. Oswestry and Welshpool are both about fifteen minutes away for shops. For a bigger day out, Shrewsbury is half an hour one way and Chester is half an hour the other. Both have all the usual town things.
If you head into Wales, Llangollen is about twenty minutes. They’ve got the steam railway and the canal there. For National Trust places, National Trust Wales and Cheshire have the details. The Offa's Dyke Path website is useful for walkers.
