The Coach House

The Coach House is in Llanarmon, up in the Ceiriog Valley. It's a detached stone building, converted from the old coach house. It's on its own in the grounds of the Rectory, so it's quiet.

It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. The bathroom has a good rain shower. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable.

The main room is open plan. There's a wood burning stove which is nice in the winter. We leave wood for you. You've got a dishwasher and a washing machine. Outside there's a raised terrace with a table, and a small balcony off the bedroom. The views from there look straight down the valley.

The village has two pubs, both about a minute's walk. They're both good and serve food. For a shop, you'll need to drive to Chirk, which is about five miles. Chirk has a decent supermarket, and Chirk Castle is worth a visit. There's also the Telford aqueduct you can walk over.

If you're walking, you're right on the edge of the Berwyn Mountains. The Glyndŵr's Way path goes through the village. For bigger mountains, Snowdonia is about a 40-minute drive. Llangollen is about nine miles away for the steam railway or a trip on the canal.

Facilities: WiFi, parking right outside, all bedding and towels included. No pets. The stairs up to the bedroom are a typical cottage spiral, so watch your head.
