Pepperpot Lodge is a little stone cottage out near Baschurch. It's detached, so you're on your own. The building used to be part of an old estate, and it's Grade II listed, which just means it's old and they can't change it much. It's next to a big walled garden, which is nice to look at.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The space is open plan downstairs.
There's a pub in the village, about a mile down the lane. It's a proper local and gets busy. Decent food. The nearest shop is about the same distance, in Baschurch.
Oswestry is close by for supermarkets and a bit of shopping. Shrewsbury is maybe a 20 minute drive. It's a good town, nice river, plenty of places to eat. The Theatre Severn is there if you fancy a show.
The owner lives on the estate. They've got pigs, dogs, and horses. They're friendly, but they're theirs, not a petting zoo. You might see them about.
Facilities are all there. Wi-Fi, parking right outside, bedding and towels included. The shower is in the en-suite.
If you're looking for things to do, Shrewsbury has a lot. For walks further out, the Shropshire Hills AONB website is useful. For history, English Heritage has sites like Stokesay Castle nearby.
