Red Lion Lodge is in Myddle, which is a small village in north Shropshire. It's a detached lodge house, not a cottage. It's next to the village pub and you can use their garden too.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and both have their own bathrooms, which is handy. There's also a wet room on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-finished.
The living area is open plan. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. It has parking on site.
The pub, The Red Lion, is right next door. The food is good. There's a village shop about a hundred yards away.
Ellesmere is a short drive. It's a quiet market town with the Shropshire Union Canal and the Mere for walks. Shrewsbury is about twenty minutes in the other direction. It's a proper historic town with a castle, the river Severn, and lots of independent shops.
You're well placed for getting into Wales. The Cheshire border and places like Chester aren't far either. For walking, the Shropshire Hills are within a half hour drive.
Facilities are all there: wifi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
