Rhuewood
Rhuewood is a detached bungalow out near Wem. It's next to our place, but you've got your own garden and the view is over the fields.
It's just for two people. One bedroom, but there are two bathrooms. One's an ensuite off the bedroom, the other is just a shower room by the front door. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's well-equipped and comfortable.
The garden gets the sun in the afternoon. There's a patio with a table and chairs and a BBQ you can use.
Wem village is about a mile away. There's a Co-op and a couple of takeaways there. The nearest pub is about half a mile down the lane, it does food. For a bigger shop, you'd go into Shrewsbury.
Shrewsbury is about 15 minutes by car. It's good for a wander, lots of old buildings and decent shops. Oswestry and Ellesmere are about the same drive in the other direction. Ellesmere has the mere, which is nice for a walk.
We're right on the edge of the Shropshire Hills. The Shropshire Hills AONB website has maps and ideas for walks. The Visit Shropshire Hills site is useful too. For history, English Heritage and the National Trust have places nearby like Attingham Park.
Inside there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi and parking. All the bedding and towels are included. There's a cot in the cupboard if you need it. No pets allowed, sorry.
