Tinkerbell Cottage
Tinkerbell Cottage is in Prees Green, which is near Whitchurch in Shropshire. It's a detached place next to our house, but it's all yours when you're here. It's got a garden and an outdoor swimming pool.
It sleeps nine people. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms. One bedroom is on the ground floor with its own shower room, which is handy. Upstairs, two rooms have double beds and one is a big room with three single beds and a day bed. The stairs are fine. Some of the doorways downstairs are a bit low, because of the old beams. You'll remember to duck after the first time.
There's a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen has what you need. There's a washing machine in a utility room, which is useful for drying coats. Outside, there's a covered bit with a table and a barbecue, and an open bit by the pool.
It's quiet here, but you're not isolated. Whitchurch is about ten minutes away by car. It's a proper market town with shops and places to eat. For walks, Grinshill is good. Hawkstone Park is nearby, which has follies and walks. Alderford Lake is close too if you fancy a waterside stroll.
Within about half an hour's drive you can get to Shrewsbury. It's nice for a wander by the river. In the other direction, Chester Zoo is about 45 minutes away.
Facilities wise: the pool is open in the warmer months. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking. We have a highchair and a stairgate. Sorry, no pets.
