Tinkerbell Cottage

Tinkerbell Cottage is in Prees Green, near Whitchurch in Shropshire. It's detached, but it's next to our house. We're at the end of the lane so it's quiet.

It sleeps nine people. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms. One bedroom is on the ground floor with its own shower room. Upstairs, two rooms have king-size beds, one has an en-suite. The fourth bedroom is a kids' room with three single beds and a day bed in a little connected cubby hole. They love it. The bathroom on that floor has a small bath built into a shower, it's a bit unusual but it works. Doorways are low in some of the older parts, so mind your head.

It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. There's a woodburner in the living room, and a second sitting room as well. The kitchen has what you need. There's a utility room with a washing machine for muddy boots and coats.

Outside, there's a decent garden with a patio. It's enclosed. There's a covered area with a table and a barbecue, and a separate deck by the swimming pool. The swimming pool is shared with us, but we coordinate so you have it to yourselves. It's not heated to tropical temperatures, it's a proper outdoor pool. Parking is on the drive for several cars.

Prees Green is a hamlet. There's a shop and a pub in the next village, Prees, about a mile away. Whitchurch is the proper market town, ten minutes by car. It has supermarkets, shops, and places to eat.

For walks, Grinshill Hill is close and gives good views. Hawkstone Hall and Follies is about 15 minutes drive. Alderford Lake is nearby for walking or water activities.

Within about half an hour you can get to Shrewsbury. Good for a wander by the river, the castle, or the cafes. Chester is further, maybe 45 minutes, for the zoo, the races, or shopping.

Facilities include all bedding and towels, WiFi, a TV, a cot, highchair, and stairgate. There's bike storage. Sorry, no pets.
