The Bothy Leaton Knolls

The Bothy is a small one bedroom cottage for two people. It's on our property in Leaton Knolls, about three miles outside Shrewsbury. It's set inside an old Victorian walled garden, so it's quiet and private.

It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well finished. Everything's on one level, which is handy. The main room is open plan, with a sofa, a wood burner, and a kitchen area. The kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine, and one of those Nespresso coffee machines. The bedroom has a kingsize bed and some built-in wardrobes.

Out the back is your own patio. It's sheltered and gets the sun in the afternoon. There's a table, chairs, and a BBQ. It looks out over our garden, which we keep tidy.

You're well placed for Shrewsbury. It's a ten minute drive. It's a proper old market town with a castle, the abbey, and loads of timber-framed buildings. The river goes right round the town centre, so the walks are nice. Plenty of places to eat and shop.

If you want to get out into the countryside, the Shropshire Hills are on the doorstep. Church Stretton and Carding Mill Valley are about half an hour's drive. Ludlow is a bit further, maybe 40 minutes, but it's good for food and has another castle. Bridgnorth is closer and has the cliff railway and the Severn Valley Railway steam trains.

In terms of what's here, you've got the wood burner, the WiFi works, there's a TV, and parking right outside. All the bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
