Little Whitley
Little Whitley is on our farm, Hanwood Bank. It's the old staff cottage to the main house. We've done it up to be comfortable for four people, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
It’s a 5 Star property. That means it's got all the things you'd expect, done well. It's not huge, but it works. Downstairs is open plan: kitchen, dining, sitting area. There's a wood burner if you want it, and underfloor heating. The kitchen has what you need.
One bedroom is downstairs with a king size bed and an en-suite shower room. It has a door straight out to the garden. The main bedroom is upstairs. It's under the eaves, so mind the beams if you're tall. It has a superking bed and an en-suite with a bath and a shower. The views from upstairs are good: you can see towards the Shropshire Hills and Shrewsbury.
Outside there's a walled orchard garden. It's completely enclosed, so it's safe for dogs and kids. There's a table and chairs and a barbecue.
Being a farm, it's quiet. You're on a private track. There's a footpath from the orchard. One way goes to Hookagate, which has a dog-friendly pub that does food. The other way goes to Hanwood village, which has a shop and another pub. Shrewsbury is about ten minutes by car. There's a bus if you need it.
For walks, you're right next to the Shropshire Hills AONB. Lyth Hill is close by. You can get to places like The Long Mynd or Carding Mill Valley in about 15 to 20 minutes by car. Attingham Park is about twenty minutes away.
Included: all bedding and towels, WiFi, smart TV, washing machine, dishwasher. We have a cot and highchair if needed. Parking is right outside. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs.
