The Roost
The Roost is in Dorrington, which is about five miles south of Shrewsbury. It's a converted barn, next to our house but with its own private, enclosed garden at the back. You can't see us from there, it's just for you. It's a quiet spot.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything is on the ground floor, so no stairs. The entrance and shower room are wheelchair friendly.
It's good for dogs, we allow two. The garden is fenced. There's a BBQ and bike storage if you need it.
Inside, there's a washing machine and dishwasher. The TV's there and there's WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside.
Shrewsbury is easy to get to, about a ten minute drive. Good for a wander, the castle, and proper shops. For walking, you're close to the Long Mynd and Carding Mill Valley. It's about a twenty minute drive to get up into the hills.
Ludlow is maybe forty minutes if you want a day out for food and the castle. Ironbridge is about half an hour, it's good if you're interested in the industrial history.
