The Earls Lodge
The Earls Lodge is a glamping pod. It's on a farm in Habberley, in the Shropshire Hills. It’s one of a few on the site, but each pod has its own space.
The pod sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one shower room. It has a 4 Star rating. It’s clean, comfortable and modern for a glamping setup. The main space is open plan.
Facilities are straightforward. There’s electric heating, a TV, and Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels are included. You park right next to it.
The site is good for getting straight out into the hills. There are footpaths and bridleways from the gate. The woodland walks on the farm are nice. Mountain biking trails start nearby.
There’s a pub about four minutes’ walk down the lane. It’s a proper local. The village of Pontesbury is a five-minute drive. It has shops, cafes and takeaways.
Shrewsbury is about half an hour away by car. It’s a big market town with a castle, the Abbey, and lots of independent shops. Useful links for the area are Shropshire Hills National Landscape and English Heritage for Shrewsbury Castle.
You’re right in the middle of the Shropshire Hills. The Long Mynd is close for walking. The Stiperstones ridge is about a fifteen-minute drive. For a day out, the Ironbridge Gorge museums are under an hour away.
It’s a quiet spot. You’ll hear owls at night, not traffic.
