Stiperstones Lodge
Stiperstones Lodge is a pod on a glamping site at Eastridge Farm, near Habberley. It's not a cottage, it's one of those wooden glamping pods you see about. You're on a farm in the Shropshire Hills.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom inside the pod. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped for what it is. It's open plan inside, so the living space and kitchen are all one room. It's warm and dry.
The site is spacious. You're right in the middle of walking country. There are footpaths and trails straight from the gate. The Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty website is good for maps: Shropshire Hills AONB.
There's a pub about four minutes walk down the lane. Pontesbury village is five minutes in the car if you need a shop or a cafe. Shrewsbury is about half an hour's drive. It's a proper market town, nice to look around. English Heritage has a museum there.
The Stiperstones ridge itself is a short drive. It's a proper hill walk with great views. The Long Mynd is close by too, for more walking or a drive over the hills.
Facilities: it's all included - bedding, towels, electric. There's a TV, WiFi, and parking right by the pod. There's a shower. No pets allowed.
