Piglets Place
Piglets Place is in Plealey, which is about six miles from Shrewsbury. It’s a barn conversion from around 1600, so the walls are thick and the beams are low in places. It’s one of a few cottages around a courtyard, but you’ve got your own terrace and lawn.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It’s a 4 Star, so it’s well kitted out. We put the Christmas decorations and a tree up for you if you’re booking over the holidays.
There’s a washing machine, bedding and towels are included, and there’s parking right outside. You can bring one dog. We’ve got a cot and highchair if you need them. There’s a shared games room in one of the other barns with a pool table and things.
The local pub is a mile and a half away in Pontesbury. They do food. For a bigger shop, you’d head into Shrewsbury.
You can start walking straight from the door. The Long Mynd and the Stiperstones are right there, good for a proper hike. Offa’s Dyke isn’t far either. If you drive for half an hour, you can get to places like Ironbridge for the museums, or Ludlow for the food. There’s fishing about half a mile away, and a golf course at Arscott.
