The Olde Granary
The Olde Granary is in Plealey. It's a group of converted barns around a courtyard. It's old, from about 1600. The walls are wonky in places.
It sleeps nine people, in four bedrooms. There are three bathrooms. That helps with a big group. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well kept.
Each barn has its own little terrace and a bit of lawn out the back. If you're booking over Christmas, we can put up a tree and some decorations. Just ask.
You can bring one dog. There are plenty of fields and lanes around here for walks straight from the door. The village is quiet. There's a pub about a mile and a half away. The local shop is about the same distance.
Shrewsbury is six miles. It's a proper market town with old buildings, shops, and places to eat. If you like golf, there's a course half a mile away at Arscott.
For a day out, Ironbridge Gorge is about a 40 minute drive. The museums there are good if you're interested in how things used to be made. Ludlow is a bit further, maybe 45 minutes. It's known for food and has a castle. The Long Mynd and the Stiperstones are closer, maybe 20-30 minutes. They're good for a hike with big views.
It's got the things you'd need: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right outside. We provide the bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's also a games room with a pool table and some other things to do.
