Grove Farm Cottage is over at Grove Farm, outside Condover. It’s a detached place so you won’t have anyone next door. The views from the garden are good, out over the Shropshire hills.
It sleeps four across two bedrooms. Two bathrooms, which is handy. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so it’s comfortable.
The cottage is on a farm, so there are footpaths straight from the gate into the fields. Condover village has a social club, a post office and a butcher. You can walk or cycle from there.
Shrewsbury is about ten minutes’ drive away. It’s got the usual town things, the river, the castle, and the market. For a longer day out, Ludlow is good for the castle and the food festivals, and Bridgnorth has the Severn Valley Railway. The Ironbridge Gorge is about half an hour away.
For National Trust places, you’ve got Attingham Park and a few others within a 30-minute drive. The Carding Mill Valley and the Long Mynd are up near Church Stretton, which is good for hill walking.
In terms of what’s there: it’s got a garden, parking, WiFi, and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and a highchair if you need them. The entrance is wheelchair accessible. Sorry, no pets.
