Cronkhill Farmhouse is on the Attingham Park estate. It's a big old place, sleeps up to 14 in six bedrooms. There are three bathrooms. It's a 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. It's a proper farmhouse, not a modern build.
The views are good. You look out over parkland towards the River Severn and the Wrekin. There's a walled garden that gets the sun, and an orchard.
It's a listed building from the 17th century. So expect things like low beams in some doorways, uneven floors, and cottage stairs. There's an open fireplace we keep ready for cooler evenings.
The kitchen is farmhouse-style, it's got what you need. The dining area is large, good for a big group. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a BBQ outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
You're about half a mile from a village shop, a post office, and a country pub. Attingham Park is just a mile down the road if you want to walk around the deer park or see the mansion.
Shrewsbury is about three miles away. That's where you'll find the bigger supermarkets, shops, and plenty of places to eat.
You're well placed to see a lot of Shropshire from here. The Shropshire Hills are to the south. Ironbridge Gorge is about eight miles east. Ludlow, which is good for food, is a half hour drive. Wroxeter Roman City is about 20 minutes away.
There's parking on site.
