Lees Farm Apartment

Lees Farm Apartment is in Walcot. The main farmhouse is still lived in, and this is the ground floor annex we've converted. It's good for two people.

It's a 4 Star place. That means it's comfortable and modern. Everything's included, your utilities, your bedding. There's a washing machine. WiFi's fine. You can park right outside the door.

Outside your door there's a patio with a table and chairs, and a BBQ. You look out over the farmyard, so you'll see the comings and goings. It's a proper working farm. If you want a quiet sit down, the garden by the river is nicer. You're welcome to use it.

The pub is a quarter of a mile down the lane. It does food. The nearest shop is in Shawbury, about three miles.

You're right on the National Cycle Route 81. For walking, you can go straight out along the River Tern. It's very flat. Fishing is available if you arrange it in advance.

By car, you're about halfway between Shrewsbury and Telford. Both are 15-20 minutes. Shrewsbury has the old town, the castle, the river loops. Telford has Ironbridge. The museums there are the main reason people visit the area. You've got the Severn Valley Railway at Bridgnorth too, which is about 25 minutes north.

Further afield, you can get into the Shropshire Hills AONB in under half an hour. Church Stretton is a good starting point for walks. The Long Mynd is up there.
