The Malthouse

The Malthouse is a cottage on the grounds of Wrockwardine Hall. It's Grade II* listed, which means it's old and a bit special. It used to be a malthouse, from the 1600s. The village church is right next to it, which is a nice view.

It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is useful. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything is clean and quite new inside, but the building itself is very old. The doors and ceilings are low in places, because of the age. You'll need to mind your head a few times.

You’re in Wrockwardine village, which is quiet. There's a shop about 200 yards away. The nearest pub for food is a mile down the road. You've got your own garden and patio, with a BBQ. There's parking right there.

Inside, it's got underfloor heating and a woodburning stove. There's WiFi, a TV, a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.

For things to do, you're between Shrewsbury and Telford. Attingham Park is close, good for walks. Ironbridge Gorge and all the museums are a short drive. Telford Town Park is big and has a play area. Further out, you've got the RAF Museum at Cosford, the steam railways, and Ludlow. Shrewsbury is worth a day for the old town.

If you want to go walking, the Shropshire Hills aren't far. The National Trust page for Attingham has details about the estate.
