Wrockwardine Cottage is in a quiet part of Wrockwardine village, near Telford. It used to be a farm cottage, attached to Wrockwardine Hall. Next door is The Malthouse, another cottage for rent, so sometimes there are other guests around.
It sleeps four people. There are two bedrooms upstairs and a bathroom with a shower. It’s got a 5 Star rating. That means it’s been finished to a high standard, with decent fixtures and fittings. It feels new inside.
There’s a woodburning stove for cooler evenings, and a patio garden with a barbecue. You get your own parking space. All your bedding and towels are included.
The village shop is a few minutes’ walk away for basics. The local pub, which does food, is about a mile away on foot.
You’re between Shrewsbury and Telford here. Shrewsbury is a proper medieval town, good for a wander. Telford has the Town Park, which is big and good for kids. Ironbridge, with all its museums, is very close. A bit further out, there’s Attingham Park for walks and a nice house.
If you want a day out, you can drive to the RAF Museum at Cosford, or get the Severn Valley Railway from Bridgnorth. Ludlow is about 40 minutes away if you like food markets and the castle.
