Heron Cottage Bentlawnt

Heron Cottage is in Bentlawnt, which is near the village of Hope in Shropshire. It's semi-detached and right next to our house. We're here if you need anything, but you won't see us unless you want to.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom upstairs and another shower room en-suite to the main bedroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after.

The living room has a wood burner. There's a second sitting room you get to by going up three steps from the kitchen; we use it as a dining room. The kitchen has what you'd need.

The garden is enclosed. There's a pond in it, so you'll need to watch small children. You get a nice view of Bromlow Callow Hill from there.

To get here, you come up a single-track lane for about 150 metres. There are two gates to open and close. The fields around us have sheep in them, so dogs must stay on a lead outside the garden.

The nearest pub is in Hope, about a mile away.

Shrewsbury is under half an hour's drive. It's good for shops, the castle, and a market. Ludlow is a bit further, maybe 40 minutes, famous for its castle and food festivals. For history, you've got Powis Castle, Wroxeter Roman City, and all the Ironbridge museums within easy reach.

Facilities: there's parking, wifi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and the wood burner. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs.
