Curlew Cottage Bentlawnt

Curlew Cottage is in Bentlawnt, near Hope, in Shropshire. It's a converted barn, semi-detached next to our house. You're surrounded by fields.

It sleeps three, in two bedrooms. One king-size room upstairs, and a smaller single room that leads off it. The ceiling in the single room is sloped. The shower room is downstairs, which is worth knowing if you're three adults.

The stairs are standard cottage stairs. There's a living room with stone walls and a kitchen.

The garden is a small, enclosed patio with no grass. If you have dogs, they can use the grassy area at the front of the property, but they need to be on a lead there. The fields around us have sheep in them, so dogs can't be off the lead in those.

You get to the cottage down a single track lane, about 150 metres long. There are two gates to open and close.

The local pub is about a mile away in Hope. Shrewsbury is a 25 minute drive. It's a good day out, with a market, the castle, and the river.

For things to do, the Shropshire Hills area is good for walking. National Trust places like Powis Castle and Attingham Park are within about half an hour. Ludlow and its castle is a bit further.

The cottage has parking, WiFi, a TV, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two dogs.
