No 15 - Bridle

No 15, Bridle, is a converted barn on the Tedsmore Hall Estate near West Felton in Shropshire. It's on a big estate, basically. You're in a courtyard with a few other cottages, so there's a bit of space around you.

It sleeps eight, has four bedrooms and four bathrooms. It has a 5 Star rating. That means it's got things like underfloor heating and a fairly high spec. It's not just a basic cottage.

Inside, it's open plan downstairs. Kitchen and living area all together. The stairs are fine. Upstairs you've got two king rooms with their own showers, a super-king or twin room, and another twin. There’s a family bathroom up there as well.

Your bit has a private courtyard garden at the back with a hot tub. There’s also a shared games room on the estate with a pool table and that sort of thing. You can walk around the estate grounds.

The location is rural, but Oswestry is a short drive away for shops. Shrewsbury is about a 25-30 minute drive. It's a nice town, has the Quarry Park by the river and a theatre. There's an independent cinema in the old market hall too.

For local history, you've got Powis Castle, which is National Trust, and Old Oswestry Hill Fort which is English Heritage. The British Ironwork Centre is nearby if you want to see sculptures.

Practical stuff: parking is on site. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. It has Wi-Fi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and they can provide a cot and highchair.

If you're looking at walks or other places to visit, the Shropshire's Great Outdoors site is useful.
