Canal View Tetchill

Canal View is in Tetchill, a quiet bit of Shropshire. It's a single-storey barn conversion, so everything's on the ground floor. That might be useful. It looks right out onto the Llangollen Canal.

The place sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There are two ensuite bathrooms as well. It's got a 5 Star rating. Basically, it's been done up to a high standard and it's very clean and tidy. It's not huge, but it's well put together.

You've got your own patio and garden out the back, which is pretty sunny. There's off-road parking right there.

The hamlet itself is quiet. The nearest shop and pub are about two miles away in Ellesmere. Ellesmere is the local town. They call it Shropshire's Lakeland because of the meres. You can go boating on them.

Oswestry is a market town about ten minutes in the car. Chester is roughly forty minutes if you want a bigger city day out.

Being right on the canal is the main thing. You can watch the boats go by from the living room. If you want to walk along it, you can step right out. It's good for cycling from the door too, and we've got bike storage.

If you drive for twenty or thirty minutes, there's quite a bit. Whittington has a castle. There are several National Trust places close by, like Chirk Castle and Attingham Park. And you're right near the Welsh border, so places like Llangollen are easy to get to.

Inside, it's got underfloor heating and a wood burner for the cooler days. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. All the bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot if needed. No pets, I'm afraid.
